About Alain Michaud. Welcome to my digital space! I am Alain Michaud, currently serving as the President of CornerStone Wall Solutions Inc., a position I've proudly held since January 2022. With over 23 of experience in the industry, my professional journey has been marked by a commitment to innovation, growth, and building lasting relationships. Professional Journey: My career in the hardscape industry began in 2001 when I joined Expocrete Concrete Products Ltd. in Technical Sales. I provided assistance to the contracting community, Architects and Engineers. This roll allowed me to pick up tips and tricks for paving stone installers and of course retaining walls. I assisted in one if the largest wall projects at the time in Calgary, AB. This was a new product launch and a different design type, Gravity walls. Moving on, my journey took me to be a Product Support Manager at CornerStone Wall Solutions, where I played a key role in marketing and licensing Segmental Retaining Wall & Precast Modular Block Systems to our concrete producers partners. These were typically wet-cast, ready mix, precast and dry cast concrete manufacturers. Taking a brief hiatus from the industry, I explored new horizons, but the call of hardscape proved irresistible. I returned with renewed vigor, successfully launching Urban Hardscapes Inc. as its President and Owner. This venture focused on licensing the rights to produce a Wet-Cast Hardscape product, and I took pride in assisting in the invention, patenting, and startup phases of this exciting business. In my current role as President and owner of CornerStone Wall Solutions Inc., I've been leading the charge since January 2021. My responsibilities include maintaining and enhancing relationships with producers, Inventing new innovative products, patenting trademarks, Research and development, marketing strategies, and overseeing the growth of our products globally. Beyond the Professional Realm: Outside of work, I am passionate about my family, my two boys are my pride and joy. I also enjoy fly fishing, painting and visiting our global producer network. Whether it's driving my boys to sporting events, walking our family dog, or painting a portrait, I believe in maintaining a balance between professional excellence and personal fulfillment.
